Cellfina is the only FDA-cleared, minimally invasive procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite in a single treatment. A straightforward solution to cellulite, Cellfina combines a proven approach with innovative, patented technology, to produce precise, long-lasting results.
The Cellfina System treats the primary structural cause of cellulite- the connective bands woven throughout fat in the thighs and buttocks. These tight bands pull down the skin, creating the puckering you see on the surface of the skin. Similar to a rubber band under tension, once released, the treated skin bounces back to smooth itself out.
As every client’s body, skin and required goals are unique, a detailed consultation with one of our expert plastic surgeons is essential prior to undergoing any advanced treatment. During the consultation your surgeon will discuss any problem areas, desired improvements, options available (including no treatment at all) and expected outcomes. A thorough medical history will be recorded and photographs taken to document your starting point prior to treatment.
Should Cellfina be agreed upon as the most suitable system to address your concerns, your surgeon will invite you to lay back and relax whilst local anaesthetic is delivered to the treatment area. A small, needle-sized motorised scalpel will then be used to treat the cellulite-causing bands just beneath the surface of the skin. Typically patients require one single treatment session, lasting approximately 45 minutes.
As every client and Cellfina procedure is unique, your surgeon will discuss the specific expected outcomes of the programme prior to your initial treatment session. Widely speaking, you may start to see results of treatment in as little as three days. You should expect the results of treatment to last at least four years- the longest FDA clearance of any cellulite treatment.
Cellfina is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure with little down-time. Temporary side-effects such as bruising, soreness and tenderness at the treatment site are possible but occur only occasionally and are generally short-lived.
We are governed by CQC guidelines which state a consultation must be carried out prior to any surgical appointment being booked. The consultation must be conducted at least 2 weeks, but not more than 4 months prior to the surgery.
On the day of treatment, patients are advised to eat and drink as normal. Eating something sugary such as a biscuit ahead of the procedure is also recommended.
Contact lenses should be removed prior to arrival at the clinic.
Patients should not drive for 24 hours post-procedure, therefore arrangements for a taxi or driver should be made.
Application of local anaesthetic at the treatment site ensures total comfort for the duration of the procedure
